You have surfed onto the official PIES website.  It is the purpose of PIES to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of services to Stamford's elderly.  PIES is the forum for raising concerns, identifying and addressing community-wide problems, and developing working relationships around elderly concerns.

 

PIES is composed of agency executives or their permanently designated representatives, who meet monthly between the months of September and June.

MISSION STATEMENT

 To act as a professional forum for education, assessment, planning and coordination of services to the elderly in Stamford.

To increase community awareness, knowledge and involvement in developing responses to the challenges facing elderly residents.

To develop responses and coordinate strategies for resolving interagency conflict, minimizing duplication of services and enhancing cooperation in the delivery of services to the elderly.

To advocate for the rights of the elderly by studying and reacting/responding to legislation affecting the elderly.
